You know, there are people you're willing to go to the moon and back for that'll have the mind to say they didn't send you. Not just that, they'll be bold about it. Just appreciate it and move. No. They'll want to show you how much it means nothing to them, completely disregarding all your efforts. But should you stop walking?
(If you don't believe in the religious concept of giving, this is not for you.)
As a Christian or a Muslim, we know that there are blessings attached to giving, both to God and to people around us especially when we give willingly. The Bible confirms it and I'm sure the Qur'an does too. I think I'm making progress with thiss because i no longer have to think or forget about going to church with offering but I still have an issue paying tithes. (Lord, help me!)
Little things, no matter how little they might seem to you matter the most. To the sender of such things, it's not little at all. It might be something that was done after deep consideration or out of a very deep affection towards you. Then you, the receiver doesn't acknowledge it. Imagine me writing deep and long epistle only to receive “lol" or “okay.” That'll be the last time I'd send such because it'll never even cross my mind to do so again.
So here's me saying thank you to;
Anjola, for being so kind and for being my ray of sunshine in this school.
To Kofo, for being that friend.
To Efeosa, for having a great sense of humour.
To Aduragbemi, for always smiling and making me happy.
For Dr Korede, for always sending me music.
For Olawale, because he's always willing to be on the phone with me.
To Ruthie, for being that big sister.
And to Tina, for always reading my newsletters.
All my loves.🥺💗💗
I love that this is so soulful ❤️
To AJ for reading my poems'. If you no mention me, I go mention myself 😹
